How incredibly sweet! I enjoyed looking through those old photos of people captured in a brief moment of time.

It is rather sad though. The people in those pictures, held dear by the ones who took the photos, now as though a distant memory, on a website in cyberspace, calling out, "I was here.. I am here.. Remember me.. Take me home.."

A brief look into lives I did not know.. Thanks for sharing with me Susan.

Did ya see any pictures that look like ones you remember? Same time but different places and different people. They give an odd feeling...I know them yet I don't.

Yes, there were a few that reminded me of people I knew when I was a child. The furnishings, the homes, the faces. I understand what you mean about the odd feeling. A sense of knowing, yet not.

Strange as it sounds, I also looked in hopes of seeing a picture of me there. But, there weren't any. In a way, I'm glad.

Thanks Susan. I search the photos to see if I could figure out the place and the time in history. It was like being provided clues and the rest was up to me.

I also like to imagine what story the subjects are trying to tell. For you know there is a story behind all pics.

Then I think about that box of pics I have that will one day be thrown away. It is my motivation to get them into three album’s for my three sons. Since it is a chronical of their ascent into the fine men they are today, I think it will mean a lot to them. And what good is being served to keep them in a box in a closet?

See what posting old photos means to different folks? Who woudda thunk?

I have a box of old photos that span my whole life. Each one holds a part of my story, weither I'm in the picture or not, and in most I'm not. They remind me I was loved. Sometimes it hurts to look at them, sometimes to look makes me feel happy and blessed.
In my minds eye I can see many photos of little Serenity, her smile, her knowing eyes showing her heart. I can see, Yvonne, Aye, all of you...kinda feel like Miss Nancy, Romper,Domper,Stomper,Boo...

I was down at my parents house today, and my mom had all the shoeboxes of old photos out. I could look through them for hours!!! She said that anytime I want to look through them she's always ready to do that. I told her that we'd have to do that sometime, in their computer room, scanning all the appropriate ones!!! Seeing all those old pictures made me think of this picture...

Your idea sounds wonderful, Yvonne. It will be something your sons will absolutely cherish :)

Your mind's eye can see many pictures of me, Susan? I am thrilled. I am happy. Thank you!

To scan those photos, and get them on a disk is my goal, kinda have my own family photo blog. We all like to know where we came from and how times passed affect our now moments. Call mine Photo Theosophy, or... Therapy :)
Yvonne, do you have a scanner?
I hope all of you make some purddy and happy pictures today!!!

Lovely sentiments by all. The little ballerina is a sweet pic, susan. I was a tomboy myself...or I wished I was...Mom always managed to make me look real feminine...she meant well. To this day, I refuse to carry a pocketbook LOL I always travel light.
Just flew by quick...gotta run again!

Pank, I never wore black-panten-leather(whatever)shoes, or a toto in my life. Always made fun of those that did...I was jealous. Maybe in my next life, ya think?
