Mountain Mother

On days I see your beamy smile,
My spirits climb, hours pass so easly.
On days I hear that chainsaw drone,
You don't seem to see me,
Lost in that labyrinth of grey.
Hours pass, each one a day.
Yet long I suffer in hopeful attitude,
To keep you safe, my shielding shelter.
With soft warm words,
"Now, now", I would say'
This corona dream,
A pink blanket against cold steel teeth.
The pitch of my love rings with passion.
Trust this truth, always to remember,
From the snows of December,
Comes April's most noble timber.

It is such a blessing to have friends. Thank you all so much.
Awoke this morning to the first snow of the year...so beautiful, and the phone lines are working. Yehaaa!!!
Mark, glad to hear your safe and sound...never give up hope, that's the blessing we can share with everyone. I love you too. Call me.

Steve, how you? Tried to visit your blog...my phone line was soooo slooow, I was reading a book waiting for the page to load.
I thank you for the motivation and encouragement you give me. Please tell me you have happieness and joy in your life.

Hi, Susan, It's Michael, Mark's cousin's boyfriend. Mark came back to Baltimore and told us about your blog. I really enjoy your poetry. I'll have to read more! I'm glad to have a place I can go to "escape!" Best wishes!

Hello Michael, thank you for visiting me. I wouldn't have my wood for winter if it wasn't for Mark and Peter. Everyday heros are my favorite. It's snowing, and my stove is mumming, my cabin is warm because they helped me when I was strong enough to help myself. Friends are a blessing, and I am blessed in so many ways.
