A Warm Winters Day

Who would have guessed it would take me two days to learn how to transfer a photo from my camera to the laptop, and then transfer it again to this computer? Not me, that's for damn sure, but it did.
Dang! Now if I can only remember how I did it.

I have to drive back in a week or two, Oooh.

Hi Susan! You could always sent a pic via email (different email addresses) from one computer to the other...no? I bet you had a lot of nice times on that porch! I love attic rooms, slanted ceilings...donno why? Feels cozy I guess.
Have a great day!

I'm with you, Panky. I think the cabin looks quaint and that porch begs for a swing, a table and a cup of hot cocoa.

You'll get the hang of transferring the pics, Susan. Once you get used to it, you'll be able to do it with one eye closed :)

Good morning, my girls. I hope today is as wonderful as you are!

Good job susan. Keep em coming!
You will have the hang of it in no time. Hell, I taught my friend Mieng how to email pics to me from her phone in less than 20 minutes. Now if THAT can be done, ANYTHING is possible. haha.

Hi Pank, I can't send emails from my laptop :(
Attic rooms, well:(
I had to gut everything out up there, it's a long story.
One good thing, the porch is nice. See my door? No doorknob, or lock to keep it closed. I found those makeshift doorhandles at a church yard sale for three dollars :) I loid the door closed with a folded strip of paper. Now you can see why I was worried when the deer would stick their noses up against the door window.
Thanks Serenity for the incouragement. The laptop is real old...one pic sometimes needs more MBs than my 1.44MB will hold, and the Cannon program must be older than me:) No save-to-disk, had to...oh god...I don't remember.
Anyway, Izz do have one pic of me...shudder...I'll post it just as soon as I get my courage up.
Lilly :( :) I'm gonna learn this stuff, I just don't want to have a stroke doing it. All night long I was saying to myself, "Hell, those guys could do this in five minutes, then again maybe their computers don't make as much noise as mine does when the ducktape comes loose.

Hey Susan! Let me take a look at that door again hang on...Susan you gots to have a lock girl! I have a brand new door knob with a lock in my drawer that I never used...send me your address, I will send it to ya pronto dear. : )

I would love to see a pic of ya! But don't stress yourself out! We don't have to see a pic to know we care boutcha!
right guys!

I hope you are feeling better Susan, I think the place is cute!
: )

Let me know if ya want that lock..k?

Yep! and I want everyone to think the same thing ...Look at that big'o deadbolt.
Ahh Pank thanks for the offer for a lock...let me xplan about that door. Where the door knobs use to be I put a deadbolt...it's just for looks, and ta keep the bugs out:) The door had been kicked in before I bought the house...no problem, just get another one I said...woopsee, what do you mean I have no money?
Long story:) I peeled the skin off that door to replace some wood, and screwed it all back together myself useing sheetrock screws, alone, when I was crazer than a bed bug from pain. I was never afraid of living there without a lock, hell, to kill me then would have been a blessing, isn't hell warm?
I just put a padlock on that door like any other trusting trailer trash would and left.
You know what little pank? If I was gonna live another winter there, I would fix that door. But I'm not, otherwise I'ed be there now cutting wood. I'm going back just to get my books and things.

Oh ok, That's right you won't be there anymore. Well, I'm glad ya got a dead bolt. Don't ya just love when you accomplish a big job like that though? I mean I am so sorry it gave you pain but I get all happy when I fix something...makes me feel good everytime. right now, I'm actually working on my pipes, I can solder from the good ole days when I worked in a factory. I have always loved working with my hands. I hope you feel better Susan it's hard to make a big change. It sounds as though you really needed to though. Be careful...k? you sound sad and such in this post. I will say a prayer for you today. I am almost convinced that the real hell is what you make your life to be here on earth...as is said..but the jury isn't out yet for sure. I am soo sorry you were cold, been there and it is not easy. Keep your chin up! I'm glad things are better for you. For all of us.

I am blessed in many ways, and although the last few years were the worst of my life, I have hope and faith and trust in Spirit at a level that may come in handy someday.
Wish I were there to help you with those pipes. Know that I am there in spirit, drinking a beer, makeing jokes and saying, "Hurry up and finish that solder joint, I gotta pee".
Enjoy your day Panky, and thanks for your kind words.

When I look at that picture and think of all the wood I had to cut, and all the heavy snow I had to shovel, Oooo!
Niomi's rose poem fits well, with the wonder of great beauty also comes the thorn of pain.
"In the white hot desert of pain, I lost my mind and found this rose."
